South Perth Clinches Pennant Glory

SPBC 2014-15 4th Division Pennant Winners

On the last Saturday in March the South Perth fourth division white side hosted and was successful in winning the pennant final series.

In the morning The Millers ran into a dogged Scarborough side in a match where the home side was able to establish an early lead but not put the result beyond doubt until the last few ends.

In the other morning fixture Gosnells defeated Belmont to make it through to the pennant final.

The afternoon final was a one-sided affair with Rod Clinch's rink quickly establishing a match winning lead.

As the game went on South Perth steadily increased the gap between the two sides to record a forty shot victory and claim the pennant.

The pennant was a well-deserved reward for the South Perth side (15 wins, 3 losses) who earnt the right to host the finals by accumulating the most points of all fourth division teams.
